After that, the main ideas of the choral theory are introduced, the utility of which, in the large structure of Iliad, is explored in the second section of the work. Finally, the Iliad’s passage 2.317-320 is analyzed, placing particular emphasis in the use of the word ἀρίζηλος to link the ephemeral with the everlasting. El objetivo del presente artículo es incorporar a la lectura e interpretación de Ilíada los últimos estudios sobre su composición. Se comienza con una revisión de las principales posiciones sobre el problema en las últimas décadas, con especial atención a los aportes de David (2006). Se introducen luego los principales postulados de la teoría coral, cuya utilidad en el análisis de la estructura mayor de Ilíada se exploran en la segunda sección del trabajo.
