Sumario:In this editorial, the importance of university teaching training in Librarianship and Information Science is considered, taking Argentina as the object of analysis. At first, we reflect on the concepts of fragmentation, social hybridization, spatiality and territoriality in the Librarianship reality and its incidence in teaching. Later, within this context, the importance of the following aspects in the teaching of Librarianship and Library Science is studied: the theoretical formation, the problem of historical tradition, the articulation with the Social Sciences, the interdisciplinary dimension, the academic tutoring, the development of mathematical and algorithmic studies, the importance of dialogue and affectivity, among others. Finally, it ends up with an exhortation to encourage the audacity of these changes in teacher training in the discipline.
