Becker claims, these words, specially “ethnicity” has been widely used but no always clearly defined. So I shall consider, humbly, doing this for clarify and made an approach to define these concepts. Besides, I shall try to describe the interaction between the processes these word name or the elements that integrate them. A través de los estudios que hemos realizados en los últimos años, nos encontramos con la ambigüedad de ciertos términos que constituyen el léxico de los estudios sobre etnogénesis. Por esa razón en este trabajo hemos tratado de dilucidar mediante los conceptos de diversos autores, el significado preciso de términos como gens/ethnos, tribu, Sippe, etnicidad e identidad étnica. Estos términos, en efecto, como reclama A. Becker específicamente en el caso de “etnicidad”, han sido utilizados ampliamente, pero no siempre definidos con claridad. Nos hemos tomado la atribución de hacer un humilde intento de acercar algún esbozo de definición de los mismos.
