Analyzing the doctrinal corpus on duplici matrimonio and relaciones de causa de fe produced by the tribunal, it poses a discussion on how Peruvian inquisitors interpreted female bigamy, whether as a sign of heresy or sexual transgression. Moreover the opinions and attitudes of bigamous women in view of the crime, during the trials proper, are also analyzed.  Este artículo se propone indagar sobre el fenómeno de la bigamia femenina en el Virreinato del Perú durante los siglos XVI y XVII a través del tratamiento que el delito recibió en el marco del Tribunal del Santo Oficio. A partir del análisis de textos doctrinales relativos al problema de los duplici matrimonio así como las relaciones de causa de fe elaboradas por el tribunal, se aboca a evaluar en qué medida la bigamia protagonizada por mujeres fue interpretada como indicio de herejía o como un comportamiento sexual transgresor tanto a nivel conceptual como de la praxis de los inquisidores peruanos. Asimismo, indaga en las apreciaciones y actitudes que las bígamas expresaron ante el delito en el marco de las causas incoadas.  Este artigo tem como objetivo investigar o fenômeno da bigamia feminina no Vice-Reino do Peru durante os séculos XVI e XVII por meio do tratamento do crime no âmbito do Tribunal do Santo Ofício. Com base na análise de textos doutrinários relacionados ao problema do duplici matrimonio, bem como das relações de causa de fé elaboradas pelo tribunal, busca-se avaliar em que medida a bigamia cometida por mulheres era interpretada como indício de heresia ou como comportamento sexual transgressivo, tanto conceitual quanto praticamente, pelos inquisidores peruanos.
