Sumario:A wide research on the working conditions of cargo truck drivers in Mexico and its impact on logistic operations shows only 60 previous research works related to drivers in Mexico (only 11% specifically on truck drivers). On the one hand, drivers usually work under poor working conditions, which result on common health problems. On the other hand, research on the business area has been limited and has not been able to reflect the deep transformations in the working conditions of truck drivers or its impact on the supply chain. Theory on this subject is insufficient, which makes it important to study the drivers’ working conditions and analyze them under the perspective of corporate productivity and the suppply chain.
