On the other hand, research on the business area has been limited and has not been able to reflect the deep transformations in the working conditions of truck drivers or its impact on the supply chain. Theory on this subject is insufficient, which makes it important to study the drivers’ working conditions and analyze them under the perspective of corporate productivity and the suppply chain. En una amplia búsqueda sobre las condiciones laborales de los conductores de camiones en México y de su impacto en las operaciones logísticas, se identificaron sólo 60 investigaciones relacionadas con choferes en México (11% sobre choferes de carga). En general, los choferes son susceptibles a problemas de salud y es una práctica común que desarrollen sus actividades en condiciones precarias de trabajo. Por su parte, las investigaciones en el área de los negocios han sido limitadas y no logran reflejar, ni las profundas transformaciones que ha experimentado el trabajo de los conductores de camiones de carga, ni su impacto en la cadena de suministro.
