During this time lapse, the Mexican automotive industry performed one of the most important operational development of last decades. The originality of this work is based on an updated spatial representation of the origin-destination matrix of transport of light vehicles assembled in Mexico. It delivers information to understand the growth of freight flows and the changes they produced on the territory through time. The methodology used was based on the TransCAD software. It was used the integrated function following the shortest path. The information here exposed delivers added value and facilitates decision making in the productive sector. At the same time, it is a valuable basis to research activities from an integrated approach territory – logistics. Presenta un análisis espacial de la evolución de los flujos ferroviarios generados por la industria automotriz mexicana de 2011 a 2013. Durante este tiempo, la industria automotriz localizada en México tuvo uno de los más importantes desarrollos operativos de las últimas décadas. La originalidad del trabajo estriba en que es la más reciente representación espacial de la matriz origen - destino del flujo de transporte de vehículos ensamblados en México. Provee información que permite la comprensión sobre el crecimiento de los flujos de carga y los cambios que ellos produjeron en el territorio a través del tiempo. La metodología se apoyó en el software TransCAD, utilizando la función de integración de la carga que atiende a la ruta más corta. La información aquí expuesta provee valor agregado y facilita la toma de decisiones en el sector productivo.
