It gives evidence of the fissures and ethical issues of the apparatuses used in the practice-as-research process in order to reveal in which moments the idea of participation is overrun by the poetics of the body. Besides, it also reflects on the role of the artist in this type of works as mediator in processes that wish to produce a sense of community. El artículo aborda la participación desde el concepto de fracaso basándose en un proyecto artístico sobre el hogar con artistas en asilo político. Se ponen de manifiesto las fisuras y cuestiones éticas de los dispositivos artístico-investigadores para indagar en qué momentos la participación es desbordada por lo poético de los cuerpos.
