These criteria would combine Darío’s personal and hierarchic aesthetic preferences as well as the strong mark left by his readings of Nordau and Mauclair. The paratextual and architectural changes in the second edition and its best-seller character would also show an appeasement of the militant attitude of the first edition but also the recognition of the historical function and the literary cannon of elaborated in 1896. Finally, the article also defends that the organization of the book should be understood in the context of its literary predecessors, since they explain –among other traits– the open character of these lists as well as its usual content partition between the personality and the works of each author. Utilizando como principales recursos la cronología de Los raros y los paratextos del libro, este artículo trata de proponer los posibles criterios que pudo utilizar Darío para elaborar las dos ediciones del mismo (1896 y 1905). En su conjunto esos criterios combinarían las preferencias personales y jerarquías estéticas del autor, y la fuerte impronta que dejaron en él las lecturas de Nordau y de Mauclair. Los cambios paratextuales y arquitecturales de la segunda edición y su carácter de best-seller mostrarían además la domesticación de la actitud militante de la primera edición, pero, al mismo tiempo, la aceptación de la función histórica que Darío habría visto para la versión de 1896 y también la confirmación de las jerarquías propuestas en esa fecha. Finalmente, la arquitectura y el contenido de Los raros deberían entenderse en el contexto libresco de sus antecedentes, pues ellos explican también el carácter abierto de estas galerías de retratos y su acostumbrada bipartición entre la persona y la obra del retratado. Empregando como principais recursos a cronologia de Los raros e os paratextos do livro, este artigo propõe possíveis critérios que pudo ter empregado Darío para elaborar as duas edições do livro (1896 e 1905). Esses critérios combinariam as preferências pessoais e as ierarquias estéticas do autor, e a forte impronta que deixaram nela as leituras de Nordau e de Mauclair. As mudanzas paratextuais e arquitetônicas da segunda edição e o seu caráter de best seller demontrariam, aliás, a domesticação da atitude militante da primeira edição, mas ao mesmo tempo, a aceptação da função histórica que Darío teria visto para a versão de 1896 e também da confirmação das ierarquias propostas nessa data.
