This article presents some reflection points arisen from the beginnings of an ethnographic investigation that tries to tackle the way in which the structural transformations of the Pampean agricultural space influence in the daily life of a rural town of the central northern of Cordoba. Specifically, it is interested in exploring the existing political character around the problems of fumigations with agro-toxics and their association with different pathologies, and the challenges presented in the fieldwork in this social universe and in relation to this subject. In a journey that invites us to recognize as "silent problem" what we initially conceived as a "theme in vogue", we return to one of the central questions of all Anthropology: the existing distance between the social world and the assumptions we, investigators, make about it.Keywords: Ethnography, Socio-environmental issues, Political involvement, rural context |

Específicamente, se interesa por explorar la politicidad existente en torno de la problemática de las fumigaciones con agrotóxicos y su asociación con distintas patologías, y los desafíos que presenta el trabajo de campo en este universo social y a propósito de esta temática. En un recorrido que nos invita a reconocer como “problema silencioso” aquello que concebimos inicialmente como “temática en boga”, volvemos a una de las cuestiones centrales de toda antropología: la distancia existente entre el mundo social y los supuestos que poseemos sobre él quienes lo investigamos. Este artigo apresenta alguns pontos de reflexão surgidos aos inícios de uma pesquisa etnográfica que procura abordar o modo em que as transformações estruturais do espaço agrícola pampeano incidem na vida cotidiana de uma localidade rural do centro-norte de Córdoba. Especificamente, se interessa por explorar o aspecto político em torno à problemática das fumigações com agrotóxicos e sua associação com distintas patologias, e os desafios que o trabalho de campo apresenta neste universo social a propósito desta temática.
