The question that guides this investigation is if it is possible to find an inspiration for Gale’s choise of this Eriugenian work in the philosophical developments of Henry More and Ralph Cudworth. Concerning this purpose, I will establish some points of contact between Eriugena’s philosophy and More’s and Cudworth’s thought, as representative figures of Cambridge Patonists’ group.
