The research has focused on the study of the social organization of work, the productive strategies and modalities of commercialization of the small horticulture of La Plata, and, finally, on the identification and definition of the different types of producers as well as the processes of social differentiation inside the activity. En este artículo se actualiza el conocimiento disponible sobre la estructura social de la horticultura del Área Metropolitana de Buenos Aires (AMBA) a partir del análisis del relevamiento de productores, familias y establecimientos orientados a la producción de hortalizas en el partido de La Plata realizado en el año 2018 en el marco del último proyecto que dirigiera Roberto Benencia.
