To understand the Odyssey from our situation as men of the century, we have inherited a rich classical past transmission over the centuries, we must establish a dialogue between modern literature and our perception of the classical past, which has been modulated and modified through a wealth of interpretations. Al tratar el tema de la memoria y de los asesinos de la memoria en la trágica historia del siglo XX, es inevitable recordar a Jean Pierre Vernant y ofrecer un homenaje a la persona que ha narrado, a lo largo y hasta el final de sus días la Odisea.
