The paper thus aimsto contribute to the analysis of popular appropriation of rock and to the studies ofindividualization processes among popular sectors in contemporary Argentina. A partir del análisis en profundidad del caso de un fan del músico Carlos Solari, eneste artículo se explora el trabajo reflexivo de constitución del sí mismo que los segui-dores realizan por medio de sus prácticas de afición. Desde esta indagación, se buscacaracterizar una dinámica de individualización que se elabora en interacción con esteobjeto cultural. El artículo explora una clave de lectura que al iluminar la instanciade reflexividad personal— se aparta de las lecturas más transitadas sobre la escena,centradas en dimensiones como el carácter “ritual” de los recitales o la práctica del“aguante”. Con ello, pretende constituir un aporte tanto al análisis de los modos deapropiación popular del rock como, correlativamente, al estudio de los procesos deindividualización en el mundo popular de la Argentina contemporánea.
