Sumario:The specificity of the psychoanalyst’s role includes, in addition to the classic intervention contexts, a social dimension, a transformative potential, which becomes visible while working in the community area. Starting from Freud and Pichon Riviere, several conceptualizations of outstanding argentine psychoanalysts, Bleger and Ulloa, are collected. These authors theorize about psychoanalytical interventions in the institutional sphere. Furthermore, some contributions of Galende and Lewkowicz, who delve into socio-political aspects of this issue, are developed. This topic was worked out in a thesis. The most relevant aspects that compose it are covered in this paper: here they are enriched and deepened. The approaches to patients who suffered situations of extreme vulnerability, from the inclusion of a student in a professional practice within the area of university extension of the Faculty of Psychology, UBA (University of Buenos Aires), worked as a trigger for the inquiry presented here.
