Results suggest that the program did not cause employment disincentives, since it did not discourage the work of adults nor did it cause a reduction in the number of hours worked. These findings are very relevant in the Latin American context, where this type of public cash transfers has become a fundamental component of social protection systems for children. En este documento se evalúan los efectos de la Asignación Universal por Hijo para Protección Social en la participación laboral de los adultos y en la generación de ingresos a partir del estimador de diferencias en diferencias (DD) para el período 2009-2015. Los resultados sugieren que el programa no ocasionó desincentivos significativos, pues no desalentó el trabajo de los adultos, ni originó una reducción del número de horas trabajadas.
