This paper analyzes the impacts on the productive and technological ecosystem of both the current legislation and the initiatives to modify it. It also suggests policy options aimed to (i) preserve the accumulated capabilities in this area, and (ii) help to develop a competitive industry with the potential to generate spillovers and linkages with the rest of the economy. La Argentina se encuentra en un punto de inflexión en la toma de decisiones de política pública respecto de la actividad espacial. Esto se debe no solo al avance de los actores locales a lo largo de la curva de aprendizaje tecnológico, sino también a una serie de elementos que han emergido recientemente en la agenda de gestión de la política de comunicaciones satelitales. Este trabajo analiza los impactos sobre el ecosistema productivo y tecnológico tanto de la legislación vigente como de las iniciativas para modificarla.
