Moreover, this new stage in charactered by an increasing participation of private initiatives in an industry previously dominated by government agencies. Within this context arises the question regarding the existence and possibility of insertion of private Argentinian actors into these novel tendencies. To provide elements to answer the question, this paper surveys and characterizes some of the main novel tendencies in space activity worldwide and identifies and analyze some of the main private Argentinian projects involved in those tendencies. This analysis is a first approach to the identification of the existing opportunities and obstacles for insertion of Argentinian private actors within this stage of changes in the global space economy En los últimos años la actividad espacial ha entrado en una etapa de cambio y avance tecnológico sin precedentes. Esto se ve reflejado en la aparición de un gran número de proyectos innovadores de gran envergadura, pertenecientes tanto a agencias espaciales como a iniciativas privadas, las cuales han aumentado su participación en una industria previamente dominada por los organismos gubernamentales. Dentro de este contexto surge el interrogante respecto a la existencia y posibilidad de inserción de actores argentinos privados en estas nuevas tendencias. Con el objetivo de comenzar a resolver dicho interrogante, el presente trabajo realiza un relevamiento y caracterización general de algunas de las principales nuevas tendencias en la actividad espacial, a la vez que identifica y analiza algunos de los principales proyectos privados argentinos involucrados en dichas tendencias.
