Furthermore, the lack of research is more visible when compared with the academic production of natural sciences in this field. This paper surveys the main contributions of the economic analysis of fisheries and how they can be extended so as to make an explicit linkage with the issues of climate change. The discussion is centered around maritime fisheries. The research shows that integrated ecologyeconomic models offer an interesting perspective for further inquiry. Conclusions point to the importance of interdisciplinary work capable of bringing together the anthropogenic effects of climate change upon biomass and economic activities.  La gestión económica de los recursos pesqueros ha motivado una amplia literatura académica, tanto teórica como empírica, que tiene una larga trayectoria y que se encuentra en renovación constante. Sin embargo, el caso de los impactos económicos y sociales del cambio climático en la pesca es un tópico relativamente poco explorado. El vacío se hace más notable en comparación con la producción en las ciencias naturales sobre el mismo tema. Este trabajo revisa la literatura económica de la pesca y su potencial para el análisis desde la óptica del cambio climático, como así también los estudios que vinculan directamente el cambio climático con este sector. El foco está puesto en la pesca marítima de captura. La investigación realizada destaca la existencia de trabajos con modelos integrados ecológicos-económicos, los cuales ofrecen una perspectiva promisoria para su profundización.
