The commercial aviation industry is considered a pioneer in the application of automated tools to reduce pilot workload, including increases in safety, economy and accuracy. Modern aircraft increasingly use automation for safe and efficient operation, decreasing human intervention in the flight process. However, recent accidents have shown that automation also has the potential to cause significant incidents when misinterpreted or mishandled. Commercial aviation has identified specific risks related to increasing reliance on automation and actions that should be taken to mitigate them. Advances in dependence on commercial aviation automation allow us to take lessons learned in other industries and processes of organizations. Las organizaciones a menudo eligen nuevas formas de trabajo automatizado para reducir los costos en sus actividades. La industria de la aviación comercial se considera pionera en la aplicación de herramientas automáticas para reducir la carga de trabajo del piloto, incluyendo aumentos en seguridad, economía y precisión. Los aviones modernos utilizan cada vez más la automatización para una operación segura y eficiente, disminuyendo la intervención humana en el proceso de vuelo.  Sin embargo, los últimos accidentes han demostrado que la automatización también tiene el potencial de causar incidentes significativos cuando se malinterpreta o se maneja de forma inadecuada. La aviación comercial ha detectado riesgos específicos relacionados con la creciente dependencia en la automatización y acciones que se deberían tomar para mitigarlos.
