With these features, the system can be used to calibrate a Velocity of Detonation (VOD) meter of detonating cords used in the mining industry, based on the point-to-point measuring method. It comprises an FPGA device that enables the implementation of an easily scalable multichannel system and a microcontroller that manages the user’s interface. This instrument was developed in response to a request from a detonating cords manufacturing company for a device to calibrate a VOD meter developed by the Faculty of Engineering - UNCPA, in a previous phase of this project. En este trabajo se presentan los aspectos más importantes del desarrollo de un sistema simulador óptico, basado en FPGA, que permite generar señales luminosas en rango del espectro visible. Además, el equipo permite generar patrones de tiempo. Con estas condiciones el sistema puede utilizarse para contrastar un medidor de velocidad de detonación (VOD) de cordones detonantes usados en la industria minera, basado en el método de medición punto a punto. El equipo comprende un dispositivo FPGA que permite la implementación de un sistema multicanal, fácilmente escalable y un microcontrolador que maneja la interfaz de usuario.
