In this research is exposed the issue of performance evaluation process, with the main objective to present the results of this audit process, executed in different organizations and an analysis of main findings. Las organizaciones desean alcanzar un alto nivel de competitividad de las empresas y una delas herramientas a utilizar para alcanzar el nivel deseado, es la aplicación de la evaluación del desempeño, sin embargo, las organizaciones no saben si están aplicando correctamente el procedimiento, de ahí la importancia de realizar una auditoría al proceso de evaluación del desempeño.
