I28-R145-1941_oai2025-02-11 Jimena, Vicentin Masaro Chara, Ana Laura 2020-11-24 Prices behavior is a worry of all economy’s agents in Argentina, especially the government, who began to discuss the supermarkets leadership effect as a key factor. No studies that analyze the way these agents interact in the price determination have been found. Thus, the aim is to detect spatial patterns in Santa Fe retail food prices that might potentially explain food pricing decisions between different supermarkets located in that city. An Exploratory Spatial Data Analysis and spatial test at prices in different foods sold Santa Fe´s supermarkets are conducted in order to detect spatial dependence. It is use primary data on a biweekly basis from May 2017 to May 2018. As results, no spatial dependence is detected in pricing of some considered goods, but it is found in the chopped meat price. Yet, it is concluded that these tools very useful tools to know the spatial dependence and association patterns and, it is important both for the commercial strategies design of the private sector, but for the pricing and competition policies design in order to improving consumer’s welfare. Does spatial patterns exists in Santa Fe supermarkets' retail food prices setting?
