Emphasis in put on power relations that shape the research agenda and individual and collective strategies in respect of those; in the aspects that led to the discussed process; in the interactions of knowledge that were produced in the process; and in the eventual solution to the workers’ problem. El artículo que sigue presenta algunas discusiones emergentes de un abordaje etnográfico de un proceso de construcción de conocimiento desarrollado por un equipo de investigación universitario y trabajadores del arroz uruguayos, surgido a partir de la demanda de estos últimos por mayor conocimiento sobre su situación de salud asociada al trabajo. Se pone énfasis en las relaciones de poder que configuran la agenda de investigación y en las estrategias individuales y colectivas con respecto a aquellas relaciones, en los aspectos que llevaron a que se desencadenara el proceso analizado, en las interacciones de conocimiento que se produjeron en el proceso y en la eventual solución al problema planteado por los trabajadores. O seguinte artigo apresenta algumas discussões que são o resultado de uma abordagem etnográfica de um processo de construção de conhecimento desenvolvido por uma equipe de investigadores universitários e trabalhadores do arroz uruguaios. O processo surgiu a partir da demanda dos trabalhadores por um maior conhecimento sobre sua situação de saúde vinculada ao trabalho.
