After defining and contextualizing the subject, it is proposed to make a brief typology of that spatiality. Thus, the following current dimensions are identified: Material, immaterial, biological, domain expansion, and the poli or multifunctional spatiality. The editorial concludes with a call for reflection on the future of libraries in front of the emergence of its spatial mutation. En este Editorial se analizan los cambios de espacio en las bibliotecas. Uno de los temas más importantes que deben enfrentar estas instituciones es, precisamente, la transformación radical de la tradicional espacialidad bibliotecaria. Luego de definir y contextualizar el tema, se propone realizar una breve tipología de dicha espacialidad. De este modo, se identifican las siguientes dimensiones actuales: la espacialidad material, la inmaterial, la abiológica, la de ampliación de los dominios, y la poli o multifuncional.
