It should also be noted that this writing combines critical views and perspectives that have emerged from presentations, exchanges, and dialogues held at the "Winter School of University Extension. Integrality of University Functions: Approaches, Policies, and Practices" organized by the Association of Universities of the Montevideo Group (AUGM) in 2023 at the National University of the Littoral, Santa Fe (UNL), Argentina. Finally, it is essential to emphasize that it methodologically relies on the analysis of official public documents from the aforementioned university, as well as quantitative data that emerge from these. El presente artículo presenta una serie de reflexiones acerca de la integralidad de funciones universitarias y la participación de estudiantes, teniendo en cuenta ciertas problemáticas que surgen, particularmente, en la Universidad de la República (UdelaR). En ese encuadre, el propósito principal de este, recae en brindar aportes para revisitar la perspectiva acerca de la integralidad de funciones dentro de las comunidades universitarias, el concepto de extensión propiamente, así como la noción de formación de estudiantes. Cabe plasmar, además que este escrito, conjuga miradas y perspectivas críticas que han emergido en presentaciones e intercambios, así como diálogos mantenidos en la “Escuela de invierno de extensión universitaria. Integralidad de las funciones universitarias: enfoques, políticas y prácticas” de la Asociación de Universidades Grupo Montevideo (AUGM) llevada adelante en el año 2023, en la Universidad Nacional del Litoral, Santa Fe (UNL), Argentina.
