As a result, it was noted that, under the aegis of national policies to alleviate the adverse effects of the crisis of 1929, the Directorate of Architecture and the Directorate of Industrial and Agricultural Development designed and implemented policies aimed at public works, viticulture and diversification agroindustrial, respectively. The complementary approach of both dependencies allows us to conclude that the first one faced long-term projects but with forceful and lasting effects; the other in the short term but with immediate results. In both cases, they assumed the management of key areas that resulted in the incorporation of specialized personnel and the reorganization of the dependencies with a view to meeting the growing demands of a provincial State, which expanded its interference with action. ARK: http://id.caicyt.gov.ar/ark:/s25458299/3ujykug0a Este artículo aborda el derrotero institucional de dos agencias nodales en el funcionamiento del Ministerio de Industrias y Obras Públicas de la provincia de Mendoza, entre 1932-1943. Como resultado se advirtió que, bajo la égida de políticas nacionales para paliar los efectos adversos de la crisis de 1929, la Dirección Provincial de Arquitectura y la Dirección de Fomento Industrial y Agrícola diseñaron e implementaron políticas orientadas a la obra pública, y a la vitivinicultura y diversificación agroindustrial, respectivamente. El abordaje complementario de ambas dependencias permite concluir que la primera encaró proyectos de largo plazo pero con efectos contundentes y duraderos; la otra de corto plazo pero con resultados inmediatos, con diversos grados de autonomía respecto de la Nación. En ambos casos, se tornó prioritaria la gestión de áreas claves para atender las demandas del incremento poblacional y de urbanización, así como para resolver los vaivenes económicos. Esta agenda de prioridades cristalizó en la incorporación de personal especializado y la reorganización de las dependencias con vistas atender demandas crecientes de un Estado provincial, que ampliaba sus injerencias de acción.
