In the first section, the territory in which the PIRI isimplemented and developed is described, giving an account of its socio-historicalcharacteristics, in a cultural key. Subsequently, the historical journey is shared, fromthe origin to the main dimensions that make up the epistemic, methodologicalapproach and the actors involved.In a third moment, he realizes the territorial, local and international relations that thePIRI has established over the years, highlighting the characteristics of the territory asa learning scenario. In the final part, the reversive role of the program is proposed anddeveloped, understood as a creative counterproposal, which faces university businessscenarios, to finally reflect on its decolonial and counter-hegemonic contribution, asa space for the revitalization of collective health, with special emphasis on the LatinAmerican influence that defines it. El presente documento da cuenta de una experiencia de vinculación universitaria,con carácter de situada, denominada Programa de Internado Rural Interdisciplinario(PIRI). Refiere al campo de la formación profesional en salud, particularmente enel ámbito de la salud pública comunitaria y el desarrollo local. En el primer apartado,se describe el territorio en el cual se implementa y desarrolla el PIRI, dando cuenta desus características sociohistóricas, en clave cultural. Posteriormente, se comparte elrecorrido histórico, desde el origen hasta las principales dimensiones que configuran losenfoques epistémico y metodológico y los/as actores/as involucrados/as. En un tercermomento, se da cuenta de las relaciones territoriales, locales e internacionales, que elPIRI ha establecido a lo largo de los años, destacando las características del territoriocomo escenario de aprendizaje.
