The study of the Bolivian case reveals that the United States pursued a hegemonic strategy in Latin America under the guise of the Good Neighbor Policy. By a subtle and politically accepted measure, the OIAA sought to influence both elites and the general population. But its audience was not passive; it actively solicited Disney films.  Durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial, Estados Unidos lanzó un ambicioso programa de películas propagandísticas en Latinoamérica a través de la Oficina de Asuntos Interamericanos (OIAA). Los dibujos animados de Disney estuvieron en el centro de este programa y se exhibieron con proyectores portátiles en toda Latinoamérica, incluso en países considerados periféricos, como Bolivia. El estudio del caso boliviano revela que Estados Unidos persiguió una estrategia hegemónica en Latinoamérica bajo el pretexto de la Política del Buen Vecino. Con una medida sutil y aceptada por la política local, la OIAA trató de influir tanto en las élites como en la población general.
