This paper examines the political representations present in the (alleged) conferences with celestial spirits. To this end, the manuscript diaries of Dee (BL, Sloane MS 3188) in which he recorded the supposed conversations with celestial entities, are considered as the main source. Este trabajo propone estudiar la relación entre dos elementos destacados de la obra de John Dee (1527-1608/9): su rol como apologista en la corte de Isabel I y su curiosa práctica esotérica de invocación de ángeles. A pesar de que ambas facetas han recibido atención por parte de la historiografía especializada y han sido exploradas con cierto grado de profundidad, estos análisis se han realizado de manera aislada. El presente trabajo analiza las representaciones políticas presentes en las (supuestas) conferencias con espíritus celestes.
