The review focuses on the gendered and intersectional gaze, as well as the role of participatory methods in bringing emotions to the surface in geographical studies of childhood. To illustrate these three intersections (childhood, gender, and emotions), a concrete case study researched by the authors is presented. It concludes that there is a growing need to consider the emotional geographies of childhood as inseparable from the social, cultural, economic, and political landscapes of childhood. A partir de una revisión bibliográfica en tres revistas de geografía de referencia internacional, este artículo presenta las principales aportaciones teóricas y metodológicas en las geografías de la infancia en las últimas décadas. La revisión se enfoca en la mirada interseccional y de género, así como en el papel de los métodos participativos para hacer emerger las emociones en los estudios geográficos de la infancia. Como forma de ejemplificar estas tres intersecciones (infancia, género y emociones), se presenta un caso de estudio concreto investigado por las autoras. Finalmente, se concluye que existe cada vez más la necesidad de considerar las geografías emocionales de la infancia como inseparables de los paisajes sociales, culturales, económicos y políticos de la infancia. A partir de uma revisão bibliográfica em três revistas de geografia de referência internacional, este artigo apresenta as principais contribuições teóricas e metodológicas nas geografias da infância nas últimas décadas. A revisão se concentra na perspectiva de gênero e interseccionalidade, bem como no papel dos métodos participativos para revelar as emoções nos estudos geográficos da infância. Como forma de exemplificar essas três interseções (infância, gênero e emoções), é apresentado um estudo de caso específico investigado pelas autoras.
