In this sense, it proposes a connection between the notion of the Chthulucene and traditional Andean agricultural practices based on a case study in the Ecuadorian highlands of Cayambe, where an ontology that transcends the classical division between nature and culture coexists with a mode of production that prioritizes the use of food over its exchange value. Este artículo analiza el proceso de homogeneización cultural producido a lo largo de la segunda mitad del siglo XX con el avance de la agricultura moderna a la luz de la noción de Plantacionoceno y señala los límites del proyecto agroindustrial en un contexto de persistencia del hambre como problema global y de escalamiento de los riesgos ambientales. En ese sentido, se propone una vinculación entre la noción de Chthuluceno y las prácticas agrícolas andinas tradicionales a partir de un estudio de caso en las sierras ecuatorianas de Cayambe, donde convive una ontología que trasciende la clásica división entre naturaleza y cultura y un modo de producción que prioriza el uso del alimento sobre su valor de cambio. Este artigo analisa o processo de homogeneização cultural ocorrido durante a segunda metade do século XX com o avanço da agricultura moderna à luz da noção de Plantationoceno e destaca os limites do projeto agroindustrial em um contexto de persistência da fome como um problema global e de escalada dos riscos ambientais.
