In particular, we will focus on the problem of the conflictive relations between Argentina and Chile in what we consider to be the stage of the creation of a nascent security community. We propose that, between these years, the magazine deepens its perspective of Latin American integration in which intellectual productions are not only an expression of this process, but also promote it through their theoretical approaches. In parallel, the confrontational geopolitical conceptions of irredentism are gradually abandoned, as well as the idea of the “threatening neighborhood”. En el presente artículo se analizan las producciones intelectuales de civiles y militares en el periodo 1983-1989 dentro de la revista Geopolítica. En particular, nos detendremos en el problema de las conflictivas relaciones entre Argentina y Chile en lo que consideramos es la etapa de la creación de una comunidad de seguridad naciente. Planteamos que, entre estos años, la revista profundiza su perspectiva de integración latinoamericana en la cual las producciones intelectuales no sólo son una expresión de este proceso, sino que lo fomentan a través de sus planteos teóricos.
