The article presents elements that organize the daily pedagogical work of a middle school, the journeys through the territory and some texts and drawings made by students, as part of ethnographic research in a school in the Zapotec region of Sierra Norte of this state. The findings show that territorialized school practices question the centrality of disciplinary knowledge, strengthen the link between students and their territory and transform the whole community as an educational space. El artículo tiene como objetivo analizar la centralidad del territorio en la vida escolar de un modelo de educación básica indígena comunitaria en Oaxaca, México. Por un lado, se sitúa en las discusiones sobre educación y pedagogías basadas en el territorio, y por otro, en una perspectiva sociocultural de aprendizaje y de prácticas situadas. El texto presenta elementos que organizan el trabajo pedagógico cotidiano de una escuela secundaria, los recorridos por el territorio y algunos textos y dibujos elaborados por estudiantes, como parte de una investigación etnográfica en una escuela de la región zapoteca de Sierra Norte de dicho estado. Los hallazgos muestran que las prácticas escolares territorializadas cuestionan la centralidad de los conocimientos disciplinares, fortalecen el vínculo de los/as estudiantes con su territorio y transforman a toda la comunidad como espacio educativo. O artigo tem como objetivo analisar a centralidade do território na vida escolar de um modelo de educação fundamental indígena comunitário em Oaxaca, México. Este trabalho situa-se nas discussões sobre educação e pedagogias baseadas no território e, por outro lado, em uma perspectiva sociocultural de aprendizagem e práticas situadas. O texto apresenta elementos que organizam o trabalho pedagógico diário de uma escola secundária, as rotas pelo território e alguns textos e desenhos produzidos pelos alunos como parte de uma pesquisa etnográfica em uma escola na região zapoteca da Sierra Norte do estado.
