On this base, a broader reflection on the challenges of university extension is proposed. The importance of the commitment of the institutions involved is postulated as a central idea and, in relation to this, the need to conceive university extension as a transversal and cooperative practice. El artículo ofrece una sistematización de las actividades de extensión llevadas a cabo entre 2012 y 2017 por un grupo de docentes, estudiantes y graduados del área de los estudios clásicos de la Facultad de Filosofía y Letras de la Universidad de Buenos Aires en el Centro de Innovación y Desarrollo para la Acción Comunitaria (CIDAC). A partir de ello, se propone una reflexión más amplia sobre los desafíos de la extensión universitaria.
