Sumario:Pedro Lemebel used the genre of the chronicle to introduce debates around sexual dissidence and, in particular, homoeroticism in the context of marginalization. La ciudad sin ti by Claudia Pérez and Rodrigo Muñoz restores, by way of homage, Lemebel's proposal. This paper posits a direct relationship between the chronicle—a mixed, ambivalent, marginalized, and marginal genre—and the debate raised by Lemebel in the selection of chronicles that constitute the play La ciudad sin ti. Another correlation also exists between the chronicle as a genre and the predominant use of narrative in the theatrical production.
