The marriage records are a rich and interesting source for researches working with the migratory process since they reveal valuable information on how, when and with whom the grooms had left Spain in search on a new life in the River Plate, as well as data on their activities and social bonds in their new place of residence. Three main issues are analyzed: the circumstances of the journey, the marriage practices and the post-migratory identity.  El presente trabajo indaga sobre algunos aspectos de la experiencia migratoria de Peninsulares hacia el Río de la Plata durante el período tardo-colonial, a partir del análisis de los testimonios de novios y testigos plasmados en 86 expedientes matrimoniales de la Parroquia de San Isidro levantados entre 1740 y 1816. Los expedientes matrimoniales constituyen una fuente muy rica e interesante para aquéllos que investigan sobre los procesos migratorios, puesto que brindan valiosos datos sobre cómo, cuándo y con quién los novios habían dejado España para buscar la vida en el Río de la Plata, como así también información sobre sus actividades y lazos de sociabilidad en el nuevo lugar de residencia. Se analizan, entonces, tres cuestiones principales: las circunstancias del viaje, las prácticas matrimoniales y algunos rasgos de la identidad posmigratoria.    Este trabalho explora aspectos da experiência migratória dos espanhóis peninsulares para o Rio da Prata durante o período colonial tardio, com base na análise dos depoimentos de noivos e testemunhas contidos em 86 certidões de casamento da Paróquia de San Isidro, compiladas entre 1740 e 1816. As certidões de casamento constituem uma fonte rica e interessante para aqueles que pesquisam processos migratórios, pois fornecem informações valiosas sobre como, quando e com quem os noivos deixaram a Espanha para buscar uma vida no Rio da Prata, bem como informações sobre suas atividades e laços sociais em seu novo local de residência.
