Certain basic parameters will be established based on the Natural Law, which serve as political-ideological support and act as a frame for those treaties. Some methodological tools to analyze the encounter of natives and Hispanic-Creole population in the broader space of Buenos Aires countryside will be given.   El objetivo de este trabajo es examinar las doctrinas políticas que ofrecieron un marco referencial para los "tratados escritos" que se realizaron con las sociedades indígenas en la frontera bonaerense durante el siglo XVIII. Dichos tratados llevan a preguntarnos si los españoles concibieron a estos pueblos indígenas como ‘naciones nativas’ o naciones-estado soberanasen el sentido del derecho de gentes. Con este propósito, se establecerán ciertos parámetros básicos a partir del Derecho Natural y de Gentes, que sirven de sustento ideológico-político y enmarcan dichos tratados. Se brindarán herramientas metodológicas para el análisis del encuentro entre indígenas e hispano-criollos en el amplio espacio de la campaña bonaerense.  O objetivo deste trabalho é examinar as doutrinas políticas que serviram de referência para os "tratados escritos" celebrados com sociedades indígenas na fronteira de Buenos Aires durante o século XVIII. Esses tratados nos levam a questionar se os espanhóis concebiam esses povos indígenas como "nações nativas" ou Estados-nação soberanos no sentido do direito das gentes. Para tanto, serão estabelecidos certos parâmetros básicos com base no Direito Natural e no Direito das Gentes, que servem de fundamento ideológico e político e emolduram esses tratados.
