Moreover, it serves as both a touristic-commercial resource and a means to reaffirm the historical, territorial, and political identity of the Welsh settler descendants in the region. This paper, based on ethnographic research, explores the tensions surrounding tourist-heritage discourses related to Welsh tea and its pastries in the northeastern part of Chubut province from the perspective of its providers. For this purpose, we conducted semi-structured, open-ended, individual interviews with four business owners and state officials. Additionally, we carried out participant observation in various tea services and analyzed an official survey, press materials, and social media content.
