The intention is explaining the theoretical framework of interpretation and analysi, together with the methodology elaborated for the treatment of the above mentiones matter. Moreover, I decided to present a synopsis of one of the celebrations analyzed, so the reader can imagine the basic actors and scenery referred to. Colonial celebration is the object of research from which I try to question and clarify aspects of the sociocultural dynamics of the urban colonial society. I also try to contribute to the discussion of pertinence of certain conceptual tools arising from theoretical traditions regarding the relationship between symbolism and power. En este artículo me propongo recorrer sintéticamente los problemas, objetivos y variables que constituyen mi tarea investivativa en torno a las fiestas y ceremonias del poder real que tenían lugar en Lima durante la colonia. La intención es la de explicar el marco teórico de interpretación y análisis, junto con la metodología elaborada para el tratamiento de dicha materia. Asimismo, resolví presentar una sinopsis de una de las celebraciones que he analizado para que el lector pueda imaginar los rudimentos, actores y escenarios aludidos. En este sentido la celebración colonial constituye un objetivo de investigación a partir del cual pretendo problematizar y esclarecer aspectos de la dinámica sociocultural en la sociedad urbana colonial, y al mismo tiempo contribuir a la crítica de la pertinencia de ciertas herramientas conceptuales provenientes de tradiciones teóricas diversas respecto de la relación entre simbolismo y poder. Neste artigo, proponho recorrer de forma sintética aos problemas, objetivos e variáveis que constituem minha área de investigação em torno das festas e cerimônias do poder real que tiveram lugar em Lima durante a colônia. A intenção é explicar o marco teórico de interpretação e análise, juntamente com a metodologia elaborada para o tratamento da matéria. Asimismo, resolveu apresentar uma sinopse de uma das celebrações que ele analisou para que o leitor pudesse imaginar os rudimentos, atores e cenários aludidos.
