The study focuses on a particular case: the revolutionary uprising headed by Bartolomé Zapata in 1811. This investigation will be developed in the contex of the new historiographical approaches on caudillismo. Some of the resources developed by political anthropology will be used, in order to study Zapata's leadership.  El objetivo de este trabajo es desarrollar una primera aproximación, desde una perspectiva etnohistórica, el problema del surgimiento de nuevos liderazgos políticos en la provincia de Entre Ríos, aparecidos tras la Revolución de Mayo. El estudio se centrará en un caso particular: el levantamiento revolucionario encabezado por Bartolomé Zapata en 1811. Esta investigación se desarrollará en el contexto de los nuevos enfoques historiográficos sobre el caudillismo. Se utilizarán algunas de las herramientas de análisis desarrolladas por la antropología política, que contribuyan al estudios del problema planteado. O objetivo deste artigo é desenvolver uma primeira abordagem, a partir de uma perspectiva etno-histórica, ao problema da emergência de novas lideranças políticas na província de Entre Ríos, surgidas após a Revolução de Maio. O estudo se concentrará em um caso particular: o levante revolucionário liderado por Bartolomé Zapata em 1811. Esta pesquisa será conduzida no contexto de novas abordagens historiográficas do caudilhismo.
