En este trabajo se analizan los sucesivos contactos de los Yuracarés con los blancos en el Chapare Tropical. Esa región de tránsito atrajo el interés del blanco por diversos motivos (económicos, religiosos, militares) aunque -a pesar de reiterados intentos- la sociedad nacional no pudo ejercer un dominio completo sobre los grupos nativos hasta las primeras décadas de este siglo.  Este artigo analisa os sucessivos contatos entre os Yuracarés e os brancos no Chapare Tropical.
