From this case, the objective is to conflate the analysis of strategies used by the predecessors of the community to ensure access to land in different contexts with two sets of discussions: those posed by the Brazilian historiography about slavery and those arising from the emergence of new subjects of rights in Brazil, the maroons - remanescents of quilombos.remanescents of quilombos. A partir de fuentes escritas y orales, el texto aborda la trayectoria histórica de la comunidad rural negra de Cambará, que se ubica en Rio Grande do Sul, estado ubicado en el extremo sur de Brasil que tiene fronteras con Argentina y Uruguay. Lejos de referirse a un proceso homogéneo, la formación histórica de este grupo abarca un largo período de tiempo, involucrando la interacción de individuos de diferentes grupos étnicos. A partir de este caso, el objetivo es reunir el análisis de las estrategias utilizadas por los predecesores de esta comunidad para garantizar el acceso a la tierra en diferentes contextos con dos conjuntos de discusiones: las planteadas por la historiografía brasileña sobre la esclavitud y las que surgen a partir del surgimiento de nuevos sujetos de derecho en Brasil, los remanentes de los quilombos. Amparado em fontes escritas e orais, o texto trata da trajetória histórica da comunidade negra rural de Cambará, que se localiza no Rio Grande do Sul, estado situado no extremo sul do Brasil que possuí fronteiras com a Argentina e com o Uruguai. Longe de remeter a um processo homogêneo, a formação histórica desse grupo cobre um longo período temporal, envolvendo a interação de indivíduos provenientes de distintos grupos étnicos.
