In this article we analyze some of the most relevant dimensions among the case of the Argentinian river corridor that dialogue with previous doctoral research work in the framework of recent regional integration, in a multiscale focus. By understanding the multiple dimensions that integration processes have, we place the actions that were historically inserting the region of the River Plate basin in global dynamics of capital concentration and extraction of strategic resources, with impacts in territories and productive activities. We ask about the possibilities that arise for the Argentinian State in the present, characterized by important transitions and restructuring of the international scene marked by the Chinese presence and the decline of the United States of America. Los debates recientes en torno a la Hidrovía Paraná Paraguay a raíz del vencimiento del plazo de la renovación de su concesión en Argentina, se vinculan con las discusiones sobre los procesos de integración regional y las distintas visiones en torno al desarrollo. En este artículo se abordan algunas de las dimensiones más relevantes del caso del corredor fluvial argentino, en diálogo con indagaciones previas realizadas durante la investigación doctoral, en el marco de los procesos de integración regional reciente, y desde un enfoque multiescalar. Comprendiendo las múltiples dimensiones de los procesos de integración, situamos históricamente las acciones que fueron insertando a la región de la Cuenca del Plata en las lógicas globales de concentración del capital y extracción de recursos estratégicos, con impactos en los territorios y en las actividades productivas.
