I use the description of the performance piece Las Ultracosas by Cuqui Jerez as a pretext to address complex and common concepts such as dissident vibration, the practice of the present or the taking of a position. Practice as research is a dissident space inside the academy and the cultural market that is gradually making its way into the performing and living arts, that is why it is important to try to define or question it. La investigación en artes es un ámbito del conocimiento de reciente implantación en los contextos universitarios y educativos españoles y latinoamericanos. Para tratar de definirla en este artículo me acerco a mi propia práctica investigadora y enumero 10 ejes con los que describir algunos de sus aspectos más importantes. Utilizo como pretexto la descripción de la pieza escénica Las Ultracosas de Cuqui Jerez en primera persona para abordar conceptos complejos y comunes como la vibración disidente, la práctica del presente o la toma de posición.
