This performance, far from observing the loss of the aura, restores it as a highly political operation.  Este ensayo comentará una intervención urbana realizada por la artista Carmen Reátegui que tuvo como protagonista a un árbol cortado bajo un proceso de modernización urbana de un distrito limeño. Me interesa observar la manera en la que dicho árbol comenzó a ser mirado de otra manera a efectos de un cambio (o una transfiguración) que la artista produjo en el espacio público. Se trata de una performance que, lejos de observar la pérdida del aura, la restituye como una operación altamente política.  Este ensaio comentará uma intervenção urbana realizada pela artista Carmen Reátegui que teve como protagonista uma árvore cortada sob um processo de modernização urbana em um distrito de Lima. Estou interessado em observar a forma em como a árvore começou a ser vista de uma maneira diferente como resultado de uma mudança (ou transfiguração) que o artista produziu no espaço público.
