The analysis is centered in the modifications underwent by the account office focusing in the actions of a lieutenant treasurer and its prerogatives. The analysis of the administrative organization is considered through a case study focused in the person of an official, and conveys an alternative approach of studying that differs from the traditional History of Institutions; simultaneously it offers the possibility of reflecting on the relations between this certain past and diverse presents. En el presente trabajo nos proponemos observar los cambios y permanencias en la administración de la Real Hacienda en Jujuy a partir de la revolución de mayo de 1810 para analizar cómo fue el camino de trasformación que sufrió esa administración colonial y sus instituciones. Nos centramos en el análisis de las modificaciones que se dieron en esa caja subalterna y, para dar cuenta de ello, pondremos el foco deatención en la figura del teniente tesorero y sus actuaciones. El análisis de la organización administrativa, a través de un estudio de caso enfocado en la persona de un funcionario, nos permite prestar atencióna las permanencias y transformaciones desde un lugar diferente al de la tradicional historia de las instituciones; y a la vez nos brinda la posibilidad de reflexionar sobre las relaciones entre ese determinadopasado y diversos presentes. Neste trabalho, propomos observar as mudanças e continuidades na administração do Tesouro Real em Jujuy a partir da Revolução de Maio de 1810, a fim de analisar a transformação sofrida por essa administração colonial e suas instituições. Concentramo-nos nas modificações ocorridas nesse tesouro subordinado e, para abordá-las, nos concentraremos na figura do tenente-tesoureiro e em suas ações.
