The goal of many of these projects was the assimilation of the indigenous population to the colonial society. In order to develop and implement those policies several civil servants were sent to these regions. This paper presents the project of Felipe de Haedo and Francisco de Viedma, Cochabamba’s Mayor, for the reductions of Moxos and Chiquitos, located in the frontiers of the Intendency. We will analyze the similarities and differences their projects contain and the disputes with several figures of the local government. En las últimas décadas del siglo XVIII, en el marco de las Reformas Borbónicas, la frontera de las Gobernaciones de Moxos y Chiquitos fue escenario de una serie de políticas de dominación que modificaron las dinámicas de población existentes. En otras palabras, muchos proyectos tuvieron como objetivo la asimilación de estas poblaciones indígenas a la sociedad colonial. Entre 1770 y 1795 algunos funcionarios peninsulares fueron enviados a esta región con la finalidad de diseñar e implementar dichas políticas. El presente trabajo busca dar cuenta de los proyectos propuestos por Felipe de Haedo y Francisco de Viedma para las reducciones de Moxos y Chiquitos, ubicadas en las fronteras de la Intendencia de Cochabamba. Nos proponemos analizar las similitudes y diferencias entre ambos proyectos, así como las disputas que surgieron con diversas figuras del gobierno local. Nas últimas décadas do século XVIII, no contexto das Reformas Bourbon, as terras fronteiriças das províncias de Moxos e Chiquitos foram palco de uma série de políticas de dominação que alteraram a dinâmica populacional existente. Em outras palavras, muitos projetos visavam assimilar essas populações indígenas à sociedade colonial. Entre 1770 e 1795, alguns oficiais ibéricos foram enviados a essa região para elaborar e implementar essas políticas. Este artigo busca dar conta dos projetos propostos por Felipe de Haedo e Francisco de Viedma para as reduções de Moxos e Chiquitos, localizadas nos limites da Intendência de Cochabamba.
