Different ways of community protests will be analyzed drawing the historical contex that produced them observing the actors behavior -elite and indigenous multitudes, administrators, public officuials. Going beyond the habitual image of the Guaraníes as indifferent and submissive people, a complex historical reconstruction will be appreciated, stressing the struggle of a group in order to overcome the injustices they were submitted to.  El objetivo de este artículo es el estudio de la conflictividad social en los pueblos guaraníes de la región misionera en las últimas tres décadas del siglo XVIII, desde la expulsión de los jesuitas (1768), hasta el inicio de la gestión del virrey Avilés (1799), durante la cual se modificó el régimen de los pueblos. Se analizarán las formas que asumieron las protestas en las comunidades, delineando el contexto histórico en que se produjeron, y observando el comportamiento de los distintos actores -elites y multitudes indígenas, administradores, funcionarios.
