Thus, based on a precise case study, the actions of the institutions operating in Colonial Tucumán, their executors and the consequent indigenous behavior are observed. In other words, the process of destructuring caused by the denaturalization of the Indians that followed active periods of war is illustrated. El trabajo gira en torno a un pleito sobre las tierras de Guaco, actual provincia de La Rioja en el que, hacia 1643, fueron reducidas a encomienda varias familias de indios desnaturalizados, miembros de las etnias Malfín y Andalgalá, pertenecientes al gran tronco diaguita. Así, a partir de un estudio de caso preciso, se observa el accionar de las instituciones que operaron en el Tucumán colonial, sus ejecutores y el consecuente comportamiento indígena. En otras palabras, se ilustra el proceso de desestructuración causado por la desnaturalización de los indios que siguió a períodos activos de guerra. Este trabalho gira em torno de uma disputa pelas terras de Guaco, na atual província de La Rioja, onde, por volta de 1643, diversas famílias de indígenas desnaturalizados, membros das etnias Malfín e Andalgalá, pertencentes à grande tribo Diaguita, foram reduzidas à condição de encomienda. Assim, por meio de um estudo de caso específico, observam-se as ações das instituições que operavam na Tucumán colonial, seus autores e o comportamento indígena resultante.
